In total, 445 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 22 November, hospital treatment is being provided to 445 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 362 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 276 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 76.3% of the overall figure), and eighty-six patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 23.7% of the overall figure).

Thirty-three new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Eleven new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 59 year-old man, a 66 year-old man, a 71 year-old woman, a 77 year-old woman, a 79 year-old woman, an 80 year-old man, an 81 year-old woman, an 82 year-old man, an 83 year-old man, an 84 year-old man, and a 90 year-old woman. Seven of those individuals were unvaccinated, while the vaccination status of two of the remaining individuals is still being investigated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 3,865 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 403 were positive. In total, 265 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 138 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 1,496 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, with 399 individuals receiving their first injections. As of this morning, 145,351 individuals had received their additional or booster doses. Of the total population in Estonia, 58.7% are fully vaccinated.

A total of 227 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 180 patients who have not been vaccinated (which covers 79.3% of the overall figure), and forty-seven patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 20.7% of the overall figure).
