In total, 417 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 23 November, hospital treatment is being provided to 417 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 341 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 256 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 75.1% of the overall figure), and eighty-five patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 24.9% of the overall figure).

Thirty-seven new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Eight new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 63 year-old man, a 72 year-old man, a 74 year-old woman, an 80 year-old man, two 81 year-old women, an 86 year-old woman, and an 88 year-old man.

The last 24 hours have also seen 6,971 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 821 were positive. In total, 540 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 281 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 4,705 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, with 717 individuals receiving their first injections. As of this morning, 148,789 individuals had received their additional or booster doses. Of the total population in Estonia, 58.8% are fully vaccinated.

A total of 227 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 180 patients who have not been vaccinated (which covers 79.3% of the overall figure), and forty-seven patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 20.7% of the overall figure).
