In total, 125 individuals are being treated in hospitals due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 9 September there are 125 individuals with symptomatic COVID-19 who require hospital treatment. A total of 151 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 121 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 80.1% of the overall figure), and thirty patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 19.9% of the overall figure).

Sixteen new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Two new deaths have been registered within the past 24 hours, involving a 73 year-old man and an 87 year-old woman.

The last 24 hours have seen 5,402 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 467 were positive. In total, 339 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 128 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 3,397 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,298,803 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 65.2% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
